Award Revisions
Student Initiated Award Revision Requests
Loan Revision Request
If you accepted or declined a loan offer WSU
Pipeline and want to change your response, complete the Loan
Revision Request Form and submit it to the Office of Student
Financial Aid (OSFA).
If you want to reduce the amount of loans offered, complete the
Loan
Revision Request Form and submit it to OSFA. Note:
Loan offers are in the maximum amount for which
you are eligible.
If you and your family have extenuating circumstances that you
believe affect your ability to pay your educational costs, you
may request a review of your financial aid eligibility by completing
and submitting a Special
Circumstances Form. Note: The Special Circumstances
Form should be submitted after you receive your
Student Aid Report (SAR) from the FAFSA federal processor and
after OSFA receives the SAR data electronically
from the federal processor. To assure the federal processor sends
your SAR data to OSFA, include the Wayne State University federal
code, 002329, on your FAFSA.
OSFA Initiated Award Revisions
There are several reasons that the Office of Student Financial
Aid may revise your award offer, including FAFSA corrections,
enrollment changes, receipt of other financial aid resources,
and to accommodate special situations. If it becomes necessary
to revise your award, the financial aid office will contact you
via e-mail. OSFA sends e-mail to students’ WSU e-mail addresses
(AccessID@wayne.edu). The e-mail message will advise you to access
your WSU Pipeline account
for additional information and/or instructions.
