Satisfactory Academic Progress

What happens to my financial aid if I withdraw from classes?

Partial Withdrawal
To determine the effect on financial aid of dropping one class or more while remaining enrolled in other classes, consult the Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy.

Complete Withdrawal
If you withdraw from all classes during a semester, you may be required to repay a portion of your financial aid. The conditions under which repayment is required are stated in the Return of Title IV Policy.

The Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA) strongly encourages you to discuss with a Financial Aid Administrator the effect withdrawing from all classes will have on your financial aid before you implement the change. OSFA service hours are available on the Home Page of this site.

After officially withdrawing from all classes, you must immediately notify OSFA of your enrollment status change.

Notice: The WSU Tuition and Fee Regulations apply to all students.
