Spring/Summer 2008 Information
At WSU, the spring/summer semester is the third term of the school
year. A new school year begins each September and ends the following
August. The spring/summer semester is a separate part of the school
year to which the fall and winter semesters belong. Examples:
The spring/summer semester 2008 is part of the 2007-2008 school
year. The spring/summer semester 2009 is part of the 2008-2009
school year.
Application Forms
Forms required to request financial aid consideration for the
spring/summer semester 2008:
The Loan Request Form and the Work-study Request Form are available
online
on the first day of spring/summer Priority Registration.
For the date, consult the Registration
Calendar, which is on the Web site of the Office of the Registrar.
The priority date to submit the Loan Request
Form and the Work-study Request Form is the last day
of of spring/summer Priority Registration. For the date, consult
the Registration
Calendar. The priority date is the date by which your request
form(s) and FAFSA(s) should be submitted to facilitate determination
of your eligibility for financial aid by the beginning of the
semester. The priority date is not a deadline.
You may submit the request form(s) and FAFSA(s) after the priority
date.
Please note: The
2007-2008 FAFSA and
the 2008-2009 FAFSA are required to determine eligibility for
full-time spring-summer work-study. The 2008-2009
FAFSA is available on the U.S.
Department of Education Web site.
Award Notification
Spring/summer award offers are made by late April. Awards
appear on WSU Pipeline. Award notifications are not mailed.
The Office of Student Financial Aid will will send a message to
your WSU e-mail account advising you to access your financial
aid data on WSU Pipeline to accept/decline the award offer.
NOTICE:
Funds from a fall and/or winter work-study award that are not
used in the fall and/or winter semester(s) cannot be earned in
the spring/summer semester.
